Warning! The Danish Bible Society Rewrites the Scriptures
The Danish Bible Society is under the umbrella of the Evangelical Lutheran Church—a strong proponent of “supersessionism” which teaches that modern-day Christianity has replaced Israel and God’s covenant with the Jewish people. They teach “replacement theology,” a false doctrine that is at the root of modern Anti-Semitism in America.
- The Danish Bible Society recently enacted a name change from the “New Testament” to the “New Agreement” or Bible 2020 as it is referred to by the publisher.
- The Old Testament—the Torah and the Books of the Prophets as found in traditional Bibles has been removed!
- All references to Israel—both as the people and the place God chose to make a covenant with—are completely omitted in what remains of the New Testament.
The word “Israel” is either replaced with “Jews” or the term “land of the Jews”. The publishers at the Danish Bible Society justified the omission by claiming that the “Israel” referred to in the Bible is not the same as the Israel of today. By contrast, the reference to “Egypt” today remains in the text as relevant to ancient Egypt despite the fact today’s borders and ethnic composition is significantly different today.
The “New Agreement” edition has already been downloaded for sale to readers in more than 90 nations. A spokeswoman for the publisher praised the launch as a “great move towards the global church.”
The Evangelical Lutheran leadership in recent months has accused Israel of using the Old Testament and Torah as manipulation of sacred texts to justify a political agenda.
THESE ARE THE WORDS OF MAN:
At a recent leadership gathering a high ranking Lutheran pastor stated:
“… it was not the Lord God who promised Israel their land, it was Lord Balfour (Balfour Declaration of 1917).” He went on to state, “Jesus was a Middle Eastern Palestinian Jew.”
THESE ARE THE WORDS OF GOD [From BOTH the Older Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament]:
Deuteronomy 4:1,2 Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live and go in and possess the land that the Lord God of your fathers is giving you. You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you.
Revelation 22: 17 The Ruach and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come—let the one who wishes freely take the water of life! 18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his share in the Tree of Life and the Holy City, which are written in this book. 20 The One giving testimony to these things says, “Yes! I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua! 21 May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!
